Wienerberger is a leading producer of construction materials such as bricks or roof tiles. The Wienerberger Group is a part of a multinational Wienerberger Ziegelindustrie AG group that employees about 20.000 workers from 26 world countries.
Initial situation
Wienerberger strives to constantly innovate its production processes. That’s why the company decided to improve its toolset with a solution for remote support and creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). After evaluating available solutions on the market, the company’s management decided that Lumnio would be a perfect fit.
What solution did we propose?
After consultation of client’s wants and needs, we agreed on delivery of Lumnio licenses for client’s key team members and several pairs of RealWear smart glasses.
In addition to the smart glasses, the client’s team also uses Lumnio on smart iOS devices.
How does our solution benefit the client?
Like most manufacturers, Wienerberger faces the challenge of a technician shortage on the market. Therefore, the client appreciates that Lumnio can preserve the know-how of his skilled technicians in the form of SOPs. These materials prove very useful during the training of new employees who can now follow the footsteps of their experienced colleagues more easily.
Furthermore, Wienerberger technicians utilize Lumnio as a remote support tool. As a result, team members working in different plants can now help each other during challenging tasks even though they aren’t physically located in the same building. That helps boost the team’s efficiency.
