About the company
The foundations of Lumnio were laid in 2017, when, as part of the startup Pocket Virtuality, we began developing a platform for using augmented reality in an industrial environment. We designed the software for Microsoft’s HoloLens smart glasses, making us pioneers and innovators of this new technology.
Since 2020, our 3D platform has been used by customers from various industrial sectors. We help them in the areas of customer service, training, product visualization, service, and maintenance.
We are a proud member of the Czechoslovak Group (CSG)
In 2023, Pocket Virtuality found a strategic investor – Czechoslovak Group (CSG), a global industrial and technology group, and its division CSG Aerospace.
This brought us not only investments to further develop our solutions, but also experience with the demanding processes of manufacturing plants around the world.
As a member of the Czechoslovak Group, which operates in sectors ranging from automotive and rail to defence and aerospace, we now place even greater emphasis on safety.
Following the successful acquisition, the smARtoo software tool also became a part of our portfolio. It is developed to support service and maintenance using 2D assisted reality, RealWear smart glasses and common mobile devices.
And so, the Lumnio system was born, combining the best of 3D and 2D tools. It is therefore a unique solution in the field of service and maintenance support. In 2024, a separate company, Lumnio Inc., was also established in Delaware, USA, to oversee the entire project.
